April montage
I think that they are shaping up nicely as a calendar. My crafty friend Sara bought me a blank calendar for crimbo and I am so full of ideas but short on time but I think that this is an excellent start.
I have a new project on the hook at the moment which brings my grand total of ufos to umptymillion. Yes I know I am bad and that I should finish something but its not my fault, I may have a syndrome or something. I think we may need to have a benefit concert for me……… Ahem meltdown averted. A sneaky peak of said new project can be seen in the April mosaic. See if you can spot it.
Anyway am off to bring cake to a poorly neighbour. Cake is a universal cure for whatever so I prescribe it whenever I can. Take care friends, we are on a bank holiday here in the UK which means Monday is a play day. Yeeeehaaarr. Enjoy your weekend whatever you do.xx

Birthdays
All pink and girly. Hope she likes them. I have also made this small token to house a lip balm. As always from ravelry and for free no less. I urge my hooky chums to have a go as they make in seconds and are useful as they can be made to attach to a key ring. Here is the link
The DH is also birthdaying on Saturday and I have been promised a closed kitchen with lots of eating out. Can’t wait. I will let you know how it goes. Thomas is off tomorrow on a training day (I know he only got back on Monday) so we are off getting secret things.
I may well join you briefly tomorrow as its St Georges day and we like to get flaggy here in Lou land. Can I leave you with this? Not a summer but the hope of one.
Edited to say:
BTW I am always on the look out for crochet gift ideas for the men in my life. What ides do you have? Please share them you clever bunch. xxLLL

Blue skies and waves
Shhhh don’t say ANYTHING, you might scare it way but that yellow thingy in the sky, yeh the warm bright thing. It’s the SUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well fancy that. As its Friday and sunny the weekly crafternoon has been held outdoors
Just to prove that it does happen although I have played safe and gone for the private back garden option. As Louise said hooky in public gets all kinds of looks. Ali has done it on the lotty and Lucy confessed to beach beading. Hilarious girls!! Well I simply will not let this rest and am out to find fun places to do some and will report back.
I had my hook (no yarn though) with me while we were away at the weekend at My brother and sister in laws. Look Hooky at the space museum in Leicester. My Dad made me the hook so its precious a 10mm jobbie ‘cos I couldn’t find big needles he’s since made me a 13mm one in ebony its soooo smooth I will show you it sometime. Anyway we had fab weather and an even better time. Thanks B and F and A!!
My eyes swelled up however and I looked like a freak show. They're all better now see.
Anyway whatever you re doing and wherever you are doing it have fun this weekend. Cheerio.

Mums are fab and hooking outdoors
Just been a visiting with my dearest Mummy. She had a hospital visit today bless her but even so managed a bit o’ shopping and then a fab lunch. Even though ll this went on she bought me these t-r-u-e-l-y gorgeous cake tins because I had me cupcakes in a PLASTIC box!!!
I had a busy day today. I got up and the sun was shining so I thought SPUDS. Yep the potatoes needed planting and I am a fair weather kind of Gal so I was out there (not early) with my jogging pants, (not for jogging, let me tell you there are 2 reasons why I don’t jog. The left one and the right one) and my hair in a (tiny) pony tail much to Thomas’ giggles. No makeup, V V attractive!! What helped was 2 things. My ipod (does that amaze you?) Lots of petshop boys!! And Cath Kidston gardening gloves, a Christmas present from a dear friend.
I had a warm bath after, wary of not being able to move tomorrow!!!!!!!! Anyhoo I am going to leave you all with a challenge. I was thinking the other day about the fact that I like to crochet on the deck come the nice weather. That is about the most exotic it gets for me, outside. I hook on holiday, no way I can go 2 weeks without it. Anyway here is the challenge. I want to know the most unusual place where you have played hooky (knitters welcome too) and please let me know. I will believe anything !!!!! If you can blog it and send me the link all the better. I am going to take a hook and camera wherever I go this weekend, for a bit of fun, and see what we can come up with. Early I know but I have wine right now, have an awesome weekend and get hooking all over the place. XXX L

Easter
Well I hope that you are all enjoying Easter as we have in the Lally house. We have had Grandma and Gramps to stay and a huge turkey, lots of chocolate and a bloodbath!!! Got your attention? Yep DH has sliced his thumb while in the noble pursuit of making stock from the turkey carcass. We waste nothing here and will enjoy wholesome soup to cancel out all the chocolate that I have consumed.Having just redressed said thumb we are in two minds weather to go to casualty or not.
Needless to say not much craft has happened, unless you count the Easter decs.
Other big, nay huge news from the Lall house is that Doctor who was on Saturday with an all new face. I can confirm that it went down very well with the Who expert and has been enjoyed 7 times on the iPlayer and once on bbc3!!!!!! All life, family and food was stopped (and told to be quiet) until it was over. A new Who is such a big moment in the life of a young person. I remember well the time that doc 3 turned into doc 4!! Anyway chaps keep eating the chocs and enjoy the bank holiday weather (not).
