Just to prove that it does happen  although I have played safe and gone for the private back garden option. As Louise said hooky in public gets all kinds of looks. Ali has done it on the lotty and Lucy confessed to beach beading. Hilarious girls!! Well I simply will not let this rest and am out to find fun places to do some and will report back.

I had my hook (no yarn though) with me while we were away at the weekend at My brother and sister in laws. LookIMG_1053 Hooky at the space museum in Leicester. My Dad made me the hook so its precious a 10mm jobbie ‘cos I couldn’t find big needles he’s since made me a 13mm one in ebony its soooo smooth I will show you it sometime. Anyway we had fab weather and an even better time. Thanks B and F and A!!

Thankyou kindly

This morning after trawling the overnight activity of the blog I find myself truely humbled by the time busy people have taken to take a look at my doings. When I started out I really did think I'd  still be all alone in the blogsphere, but how wrong was I? The thing that I did not realise was the friendliness and interest of complete strangers (some of you not so much strangers any more) Thankyou all for  your support, for comming by and for leaving messages. I know that many people have found it hard to do so and I am at loss to know why but I know that you come and for that I am greatful and feel ontop of the world.

Say Hello to smiley Louise!!

Its Friday today and that can only mean one thing crafternoons so I will leave you with a glimpse of what I will be doing. A bag from a smallish bit of ripple curtesy of Lucy at attic 24. I got the pattern idea from this lady

Yes and that funny looking special effect was infact sun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ta daah

Well here it is at last. Perhaps now I am a finisher and not a maker of UFO's. Woe betide anyone who dares to sit on it at any picnic cos it'll be there last!! Mwa mwa mwahahahaha (evil laughter for effect)

Am I sad for being so in love with this blankie that I take it to bed so that it will be the first thing that I see in the morning?
Thougt so.......

I'd like to tell you that its a scrap blankie made entirely from stash busters but 3 trips to the only yarn shop I can find might tell you otherwise.
Don't tell blankie but he started life being destined for Ebay or some such other place in order to finance the next big thing. I'm in love now and we will never be parted. Never do you hear?

Why I am happy today

OOh get this. Basket from Knaresborough for full on summer picnicing and fabric newly aquired from ebay. wont it make good bunting? The basket is to house the hex blanket that I have finished today. Its busy blocking away so only a sneaky peak for now. with a few other  yummylicious things

I lways find that when making something in crochet the snippings are really quite lovely so I have included them here before they went in the bin

After all that hard work I had to have a sit down and something fortifying. Ahhhh. T made them !!
